Meet Rebecca

Hi, I’m Rebecca, Recruitment & HR Advisor at Rural Directions.

I’m a firm believer in taking a ‘glass half full’ approach to both work and life.  For me, open, honest and transparent communication is at the heart of building strong relationships and helping people and businesses work towards a shared goal.

My Journey

With a background in generalist HR and recruitment, I’ve worked across a diverse range of organisations and industries in New Zealand, Australia and Ireland. This experience has given me a broad understanding of the different challenges businesses can face when it comes to their people.

I’m passionate about working alongside our clients to provide practical, people-focused HR and recruitment support. Every business and their teams are constantly evolving, and I feel privileged to be able to support clients through their people-related projects, challenges and opportunities.

I particularly enjoy being part of the Rural Directions team and working with the people and businesses that play such an important role in supporting the backbone of New Zealand’s primary sector.

Outside of Work

When I’m not working, life is largely centred around equestrian adventures and pony riding with my daughter. I also enjoy the odd surf, teach yoga, and managing the ever-growing menagerie we’ve collected at home!

I love the variety that life brings and bring that same positive, practical and people-focused approach to my work with clients.
